Clinical Quality Analyst - FT - FT

SUMMARY: The Clinical Quality Analyst reports to the Quality Director. Under general supervision and within GPRMC established policies and procedures, assists with the coordination and implementation of tasks associated with clinical quality data abstraction support for public reporting through the national quality initiatives and clinical registry reporting programs for GPRMC. Accesses medical records information for the purposes of supporting clinical abstraction, provides support to abstraction services professionals and monitors project timelines, data submission due dates for The Joint Commission(TJC)/National Hospital Quality Measures (ORYX) requirements, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS), clinical registries, and performs follow-up duties as required to ensure timely and complete data submission. Notifies the Quality Director when issues arise and identifies opportunities where corrective action may be needed to ensure completion and integrity of data submission. Monitors changes and additions to ensure measurement standards of Hospital quality program, The Joint Commission (TJC), Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) and other regulatory agency requirements are met. Serves as liaison between clinical staff and Quality Director as needed.

 PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Consistently applies and serves as a role model for GPRMC mission, vision, and values. Is responsible for knowing and acting in accordance with the principles of the GPRMC Corporate Compliance Program and Code of Conduct.

  • Accesses vendor abstraction tools (including reporting options) and the clinical warehouse for data reporting to ensure accuracy of data reports through rate verification during preview periods and the validation process. Submits corrections or appeals as directed.
  • Supports the clinical data abstraction and management process for clinical quality measures, i.e. vendor issues and deadlines, system maintenance, training and scheduling, monitoring data for accuracy and verification. Completes and supports work assigned to the project team for specific task assignments including data management, medical record coordination, and abstraction, in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Serves as a resource for internal customers to understand data collection specifications, documentation requirements, data interpretation to facilitate improvement activities. Participates in group and project activities for process improvement as directed.
  • Assist to review data integrity and ensure that all abstraction work is accurate and competent, and communicates outliers, issues, or opportunities to Quality Director. May assist in compiling data and auditing records to ensure internal accuracy of information and/or review results of outsourced vendor services. Supports completion, integrity and accuracy of data submissions as guided by Quality Director.
  • Assists in clinical record review for mortality measures, ongoing physician performance evaluations, and other performance improvement projects as needed.
  • Assists in follow-up discharge phone calls to evaluate patient experience. Makes referrals to appropriate departments if needed.
  • Assists with tracking of ongoing review of electronic order sets. Assists with making edits as needed and according to applicable policy and procedures.
  • Notifies Quality Director of changes in trends or results associated with performance levels and/or compliance with evidenced-based care in real-time.
  • Assists in identifying gaps in documentation that impacts accuracy or measured performance on required measures of performance. Aligns goals of abstraction services with upstream documentation and clinical services workflows, identifies gaps as opportunities for improvement.
  • Facilitates and coaches teams working to improve performance. Coordinates and supports the implementation of improvement tactics in alignment with organizational priorities.
  • Notifies the Quality Director when issues arise and takes corrective action as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Great Plains Regional Medical Center is looking for a Monitor Technician to assist the healthcare providers in our hospital. In this position, the Monitor Technician will observe the heart rate monitors on our patients, keeping an eye out for irregularities or other cardiovascular issues. GPRMC provides on-the-job training and testing for this position. The Monitor Tech duties consist of:

 

·        Provide patient monitoring support and direct patient care.

·        Maintain records and documents of cardiac rhythm for nursing staff.

·        Observe and interpret cardiac rhythm of patients.

·        Post and interpret rhythm strips at regular intervals.

·        Perform lead placement on patients.

·        Report any changes in latest and previous strips to nurse.

·        Recognize and respond to abnormal patient condition.

·        Clean medical equipment after each patient use.

·        Validate and test medical equipment for any problems.

Position Summary:

The IT Technician is a customer service-oriented position that works with customers to help them translate business information needs into deliverable requirements and technical specifications for execution. This role will also be responsible for identifying optimization opportunities within current data systems and processes. As part of this process, the Technician will educate healthcare customers about the development processes, user interface, and content delivery options. Individuals in this position will possess strong computer analytical skills, interpersonal skills, and be familiar with or willing to learn about a wide array of clinical and business processes. Full-time staff Pharmacist is under the direction of the Pharmacy Director, dispenses medication; exercising professional judgment in response to a provider’s prescription according to government regulations to ensure the appropriate drug therapy for optimal patient care; counsels, assists, and educates physicians, nurses, and patients on appropriate medication doses, uses, side effects, cautions, and drug purposes. Fills team member and family prescriptions. Supervises Pharmacy Technicians to maintain good order and flow of workload. Prepares sterile admixtures and hazardous chemotherapy drugs following USP 797, USP 800 and GPRMC policies and procedures. 

Must be a graduate of an accredited College of Pharmacy and hold a current license to practice in the state of Oklahoma.

FT Cardiopulmonary Tech needed in busy Respiratory Department.

This position provides support to the Respiratory Therapists within the Cardiopulmonary department as well as direct patient care, including EEGs, home sleep studies, EKGs, and Holter monitors. 

Specific Duties:

  • Performing EEGs with proper electrode placement
  • Verifying if insurance requires precertification for services
  • Confirming sleep studies and calling doctor offices for needed orders
  • Ordering supplies for the department
  • Being a backup person for EKGs and Holter monitors

Medicare Billing Specialist - FT - FT

Medicare Billing Specialist

Under the direction of the Director of Patient Financial Services the Medicare Billing Specialist verifies charges and Medicare/insurance information, releases Medicare and MSP claims electronically, sends hard copy claims if appropriate, follows up on all unpaid claims. Works Medicare On-Line system, past due reports, rejection reports, Medicare information requests.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, staff members, patients, and patient families, outside agencies and the general public

  • Daily billing of Medicare/MSP claims

  • Verifies all Medicare and Insurance information and checks each bill for correctness of charges on a daily basis.           

  • Make necessary changes by working with departments throughout the hospital and the Medicare on-line-system.

  • Bills electronically all claims that are eligible

  • Bills Hard copy all claims that are not eligible for electronically remittance.

  • Shares responsibility-downloading claims into the Electronic Billing System from the main computer in addition to transmission of claims

  • Responsible for follow-up of all the above claims     

  • By using daily report follows up on the entire above Medicare, MSP, Secondary insurance claims within a 45-day period.

  • Makes all necessary Medicare corrections on the Medicare-On Line System

  • Requests Medical records on all requests from HCFA , and makes sure they are sent in a timely manner.

  • Sends in appeals when appropriate for hospital or patients

  • Makes adjustments when necessary to all Medicare claims

  • Weekly works Medicare report for timely payment of claims 

  • Consistently works the Medicaid Reject remittance for the corrections of these claims and possible resubmission.

  • Reviews, research, and resolve all Medicare Credit Balance

  • Responsible for the Quarterly Medicare Credit Balance Report; Pulls all Credit balances from a report, and reports to the Patient Accounts Director for submission of information to HCFA

  • Other duties may be assigned



Chief Nursing Officer (CNO)/Chief Operations Officer (COO) - FT

The position of Chief Nursing Officer (CNO)/Chief Operating Officer (COO) is primarily a member of the Senior Leadership Team and therefore must act as an advocate for the goals of the entire hospital. Under general direction, the COO assumes line responsibility and authority for the administrative direction, evaluation, and coordination of the functions and activities of assigned departments within the hospital, ensuring that operation objectives and results are in accord with the hospital’s overall needs.

 

  • The CNO/COO provides administrative direction for operations of assigned departments and appraises the performance of the respective departments’ heads, including authority to hire and fire, but subject to the veto of the CEO.
  • He/She communicates routinely with the CEO concerning policy recommendations and suggested courses of action pertinent to the efficient operation of assigned departments.
  • He/She also implements new policies; disseminates pertinent information following administrative directives; and recommends improvement of hospital facilities in assigned areas, including construction or renovation of structures and purchase of new equipment.
  • The CNO/COO promotes complete involvement of the departments’ heads in the preparation of the departments’ budgets and educates them in the importance of the budget, forecasting and planning process.
  • He/She advises and makes recommendations to the CEO concerning budget, cost, and financial matters and encourages and assists department heads in establishing a measure of performance, increased productivity, quality improvement, cost controls, and maximum utilization of facilities.
  • The CNO/COO advises the CEO where executive action is necessary to accomplish these goals and he/she plans the activities of the individual departments in relation to other hospital departments so as to obtain a better understanding of each others’ problems.
  • The CNO/COO attends medical staff meetings and/or medical staff committee meetings, as assigned or requested.
  • He/She also represents the hospital by membership in related professional associations.
