Charitable Giving

GPRMC is built on a strong tradition of local support. By giving to the Capital Campaign each of us can demonstrate the value we place on this community and having quality health care for ourselves, those we care about, and generations to follow.

There are many ways to give. Pledges to be paid over a five year period are accepted because few people can contribute at one time the generous amounts needed to raise $3,000,000. All gifts, no matter the amount, will be gratefully accepted. Gifts may be given as cash, securities, real estate, minerals, livestock, personal property, life insurance, annuities, etc. All gifts are tax deductible as GPRMC Foundation complies with all IRS requirements for a tax exempt 501(c) 3 non-profit organization.

Donors will be recognized and honored in a variety of ways: in the Book of Remembrance plus gifts of $1,000 or more will be permanently displayed on the donor honor wall in the lobby of the new hospital and acknowledged in newspapers, newsletters and numerous other ways. There are naming opportunities for the various areas of the new hospital’s lobbies, patient rooms, waiting rooms, ICU, Emergency Department, etc.

What a wonderful way to be remembered or to honor those you love.

Giving the Gift of Life Insurance

Life insurance is a vehicle of giving with many distinct advantages. You can give a paid-up policy that is no longer needed. You can name us for what remains at the death of other beneficiaries, or you can give a new policy.

We are pleased to offer you information as you consider various ways to participate in our work. For more details about methods of giving that provide benefits to you and yours, please call or write us at your convenience.

Reasons to Give Life Insurance:

  • You can give the full gift. There are no probate expenses or federal estate taxes due on the proceeds which are payable to the Great Plains Regional Medical Center Foundation.
  • You enjoy tax benefits. Premiums are deductible if Great Plains Regional Medical Center Foundation is named the irrevocable owner and beneficiary.
  • You avoid publicity. The gift is a private transaction, not a matter of public record. Such privacy is desirable in many situations.
  • You may find It more affordable. You may have a policy which has served its original purpose and is no longer needed. You can give it, deduct it, and discontinue premium payments.
  • You can make it definite. A gift of life insurance won’t be delayed or circumvented by probate court problems or disputes among heirs.
  • You can probably give more. The size of your life insurance gift may be larger than other gifts you can make.
  • You have a wide choice of methods. You can name us as beneficiary, co-beneficiary, second beneficiary, or remainder beneficiary for all or part of the proceeds.
  • You can give conveniently, privately, and more than you could otherwise afford.

As one of the oldest and most popular vehicle of family and estate planning, life insurance products continue to change to meet the needs of policyholders. In fact, flexibility may be one of the most appealing features of life insurance in general.

Whatever form your current life insurance holdings take, remember their flexible charitable possibilities, too. If you are seeking a way to give that does not diminish your current spending power, or if you like the idea of planning today to assure a meaningful gift later, consider life insurance. Many persons who give to us have done so and gained great satisfaction as a result.
